South Beach has begun

Well I have already started the process to get the lap band. I am seeing my doctor for the next 6 months, I am three months in, and have to loose 30 lbs to try and get approval for the lap band procedure. This may sound easy for a life time dieter, but I have hit the wall. My body is telling me, no more diets. So, so far I have lost nothing and am struggling to not inhale carbs. My doctor wants me to only eat around 1400 calories, lots of protien, and limit the carbs. Much easier said than done, when you are a carb addict. So I decided I need a plan to follow. I have chose the South Beach diet. I have followed a great blog, the Pasta Queen, that used the South Beach diet and reached her goal. It took two years but she did, and is an inspiration. So I know it can work.

I started the morning out with two eggs and ham, now I just need some vegtables, and we will be on track!
