Getting Out

One thing that putting on an extra 100lbs has done to me, has stopped making me get out and do the things I love. I am like a hermit sometimes hiding in my home. I need to stop this if I am going to be successful on this journey, so today I went all out. I met a friend I had not talked to in such a long time at Jamba Juice. She is so up lifting and positive, we always laugh when we are together, it definately gave me some energy back. Than I went to a jewelry making class that my friend was holding. It was her first professional teaching job for jewelry making, and she did a wonderful job, and I LOVED IT! I made a bracelet for my mom and one for my daughter. I think I may have found a new hobby.

My yourngest son, who is very active, would never stop if you would let him made a deal with me on the way to school this morning. If he had a great day, we actually name the days for him. Today was wise Wednesday. Which means he needs to make wise choses when it comes to following directions and being kind to his friends. If his note home from the teacher had no negative comments only positive we would go for a bike ride in the evening. Guess what...he had an awesome day! It was a win win for us both. He had a great day and we both got some great exercise riding bikes. I have not had this body on a bike though in quite a while, needless to say I gave my lungs and legs a great work out. It felt so good. I use to ride my bike all summer long when I was a kid. You just can't help but feel younger when you ride a bike, it brings such great feelings and memories back.

So I am doing good on my goals-except the getting up at 6a.m. I am rethinking that one. But I have followed my food plan and am down 7 lbs. so that goal has been met. Yeah!! I have reached out two friends so far, who will I try tomorrow???hmmm have to think about that one. I have achieved 5 of my 8miles. So I am on track, and it is making for a good week.
